Bending the trunk of a japanese white pine 19 uren 35 minuten geleden #97530

At the start of this year I bought my first ever bonsai starter tree, a japanese white pine.
I tried to shape it a bit with wire, but I don't know how to shape the trunk. I don't like the way the trunk now grows sideways and then suddenly bends upwards, it doesn't look right. (see attached picture)

How could I lose that upward bend to make the trunk grow more horizontally? (maybe I could make it into a cascading style tree later on)
I was thinking of making multiple small incisions in the trunk (at the bottom) and then just pull it down with wire. But I can image that this can not be done in one go, maybe slowly over time bend it more and more, but how long do i have to wait and let the tree restore a bit in between?
