Spectrum:
280 ~ 315nm: little effect on configuration and growing
315 ~ 400nm(UV): less absorption by chlorophyll, a strong influence on Photoperiod-induction, prevent the growing of stems
400 ~ 520nm (Blauw): Peak absorption by chlorophyll occurs, and a strong influence on photosynthesis (promotes vegetative growth)
520 ~ 610nm (groen): less absorption by pigments
610 ~ 720nm (Rood): Large amounts of absorption by chlorophyll and carotene, and most significant influence on photosynthesis and photoperiod-induction (promotes budding and flowering)
720 ~ 1000nm(Infra rood): less absorption, influence the budding and flowering
Why is red light important for plants?
Red light is very important to plant reproduction. Phytochrome pigments absorb the red and far red portions of the light spectrum and regulate seed germination, root development, tuber and bulb formation, dormancy, flowering and fruit production.

Blue light stimulates Chlorophyll production more than any other color, encouraging thick leaves, strong stems and compact vegetative growth
